With his recently released third record , singer-songwriter Joshy Willo has for over a decade, been telling us stories, inspired by his West Coast roots and informed by his travels and love of nature.

Either solo with guitar in hand, or backed by The Kingfishers, Joshy's sound weaves together roots, funk and reggae with a nod - or more of a cheeky wink - to the storytelling folk tradition.

Joshy Willo's music - and person - has been nurtured by the beauty and mystery of his West Coast home: from the salty, biting wind that steals your breath to the miraculous dirt that turns seeds into food into livelihood when the sky decides to share those big fat drops. And, of course, that ever-present ocean.

His lyrics can be deeply personal and relative to the life he loves on the Eyre Peninsula, but also speak to stories and moments all of us anywhere can connect with and share.

Joshy is witty and poignant, with a knack for snatching up and sharing the small, special moments in our lives and the world around us, that sadly tend to pass many of us by.

A prolific live performer, Joshy has built a a fiercely loyal local fan base, but his music is also turning heads much further afield. In 2014, Joshy was a semi finalist in the International Song Writing Competition for his song Travel Diary, on his second album.

He has supported some of Australia's biggest acts, performing for 10,000 people at Triple J's One Night Stand concert after taking out the radio station's Unearthed competition for his song Moon As A Mirror. Joshy has thrilled trendy folk lovers at the Hand-picked Festival in Langhorne Creek and undertook residencies at Glen Helen Resort in the beautiful and ancient red centre.
